The MINI JCW Team has completed their testing at Daytona. The ST class had 10 cars testing, two of them being the 73 and 52 JCWs. After three days at the Roar Before the 24 the team showed they had good pace.
The first session completed with the 73 in the middle of the pack with a best lap of 2:06.610. But by the last session the the 73 was at the top of the leader board, improving on their time by over two seconds to 2:04.585.
Five different drivers participated in testing for the team. Derek Jones, brothers Mark and Mat Pombo, Mike Lamara, and veteran driver Pippa Mann. While it’s a give-in that Jones and the Pombo brothers will be around for the regular season we’ll have to wait and see who fills out the rest of the lineup this year.
Combined session results can be found here.
