Slipstream Network has recently done a couple of interviews with our favorite MINI JCW Team drivers. The first interview is from three weeks ago:
Mat Pombo and Derek Jones talk to SportsCar America about their victory at Watkins Glen for MINIJCW/LAP Motorsports, and the significance of the 1-2 MINI finish with Mark Pombo in the No. 52 MINI JCW. The pilots of the No. 73 MINI also discuss the development of the car over the past season, the close-knit atmosphere of the MINI team, and winning the first Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge four-hour race at Daytona. The two racers have more than just a history of driving together, and their family involvement in the sport and a lifelong friendship provide a solid foundation for their unique approach to competition and the racing business.
The interview runs for a half hour and can be found here.
The second interview is with James Vance just prior to the Lime Rock Park race:
After an exciting two weeks in a MINI and Prototype Challenge machine, James Vance joins the show to help Erin and Dusty digest all the IMSA action from North of the border. We take a look back at all the news from last week before taking a look ahead at Lime Rock Park.
The interview can be found here.
