Round 4 of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge (CTSC) has a special treat for MINI race fans. Team Octane will be joining the circuit this week in an orange clad MINI JCW. This will give fans a total of 4 MINIs to cheer for at Watkins Glen.
Team Octane may be new to CTSC but they are not new to racing. The team has four Canadian Touring Car Championships, it most recent being in 2015. They only race MINIs and so have plenty of experience getting JCWs around the track. They should hit the ground running at Watkins Glen.
Team Octane’s JCW will carry the number 47 and be driven by Adam Isman and Alain Lauziere. So far there has been no indication as to if this is a one time entry or if they plan on competing for the rest of the season. We wouldn’t be surprised though if the Canadian based team showed up at CTMP next week.
