The Pombo brothers put on a show fighting hard to earn a double podium for the MINI JCW Team.
Mat Pombo followed his win in the last event with a second place podium effort in race one. Mark fought all race
Mark Pombo went from 6th to 3rd on the first lap and was in a battle for the rest of the race to hold on to that position.
Tyler Maxson applied relentless pressure on Mark but he was able to hold him off and gain 13 points in the driver’s championship race. That leaves him still in the hunt for the championship but he will have to win race two tomorrow.
Nate Norenberg spent the majority of the race in the top 5 before suffering a flat right front that relegated him to 11th.
Tomas Mejia also had a solid race. He spent the entirety of it fighting for a top five finish and he was successful as he crossed the line in 5th.
Race two at Las Vegas takes place at 3:30 PM EST tomorrow, October 20th.
